"The Women Who Raised Me" is a collection of short stories written from my own perspective through my own personal memories centering on the women who played prominent roles in my upbringing. It will be a record of my memories growing up in a setting the furthest away from a nuclear family. It will be a glimpse into a different culture and a narrative of my upbringing that will prove to be an interesting contrast to the traditional family setting.
This book will record brief glimpses into not only my childhood but also give readers a better understanding of a different culture and environment. It will highlight the very common trend of societal issues that seem to abound in the Caribbean; men have little to no involvement in raising their children.
